The Singapore Flyer is so much better than I have expected. Singapore does have many scenic views. It was a fun day. Thanks to the Teacher's Day September Promotion. If not, I don't think I will go. My parents enjoyed it too. We had Popeye and Gelatismo Icecream. Also gotta walk on the F1 track.

God is a Promise Keeper... I can testify!

1. On September 1, God gave us our flat
2. On 27 October, we signed and paid for our flat. The owner is more then willing to shift all the things out before the official handing over of keys so that we can renovate the place early November.
3. 30 October, God helped us to have a contractor who is willing to renovate the whole house for us for $31,000. This is the budget that we told God. Though initially the quote was way higher, God managed to help us to bring the cost down. (:
4. Thank God for sending all the helpers for our wedding
5.Thank God for helping to get tickets for our honeymoon and making all the booking for the lodging.
6. Thank God for JJ and Basia who have helped us so much in our wedding preparation
7. Thank God for the friends He gave us that share our joy.
8. Thank God for understanding parents!
9. Thank God for my lovely sisters!
10. and my lovely nieces of course! They are all here in Singapore!

Today is Teacher's Day celebration! It was fun! My class did an autograph book for me. I' m really touched.. was telling them that we have another term together before we part, so i am gonna treasure every day with them. I really love this class. so fun and lovable.. we are always laughing and joking.. but of course got study lah.. haha. These are some of the concert photos. today had PSLE oral. reached home by 1pm.. Really thank God! hope my kids did well. Have been praying for them. Tmr English for them. May the Lord Jesus bless them. been busy with marriage prep: honeymoon and the other stuff. next monday ballot result out. The LORD reigns! this is my month of victory! still trusting u my Lord Jesus whatever the outcome is cos You are simply a great God and friend. I love you Jesus.

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters, 3. he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

i love this psalm. the twenty-third psalm.
the LORD revealed to me something this week through this psalm. well, i asked the LORD a question, "You told me that goodness, love and your blessing will follow me all the days of my life; why then am i not seeing the promise?"

he brought me to this psalm.

i read verse 1 to 2. he told me that our journey with Him begins with a trust in Him, that in the LORD, we will have no lack. In Him, we will have a place to stay and rest and food to eat. A trust to know His provision over our lives.
then i read verse 3. He told me that with this trust we are then ready to walk the path the LORD had prepared for us- the path of rightousness, the path which our faith will be put to test; a path where finally ourselves to cease; a path of death to our flesh.
that's why in the following two verses, the psalmist describes this path as one that is like the valley of the shadow of death; one which is uncertain, uneasy, unknown and uncomfortable; one we know for sure our flesh will resist it to the fullest. yet there is a determination from the psalmist to walk this path cos he has trusted in God and wanted to exalt His Holy Name. He believesthat the LORD is there with him even in face of the greatest trial and danger. In Him, though the path is dark, there is no fear but comfort.
Verse 5 continues to declare the LORD's blessing in his life till his cup overflow. He finally ends off with verse 6-Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.- a declaration of faith and confidence of the LORD's love and blessing forever.

I know that the LORD has taken these 8 years to show me how much He loves and cares for me. I have grown to believe that in Him, i will have not lack but plenty. yet now, i know that He is inviting me to this path of righteousness. My foundation of faith will be tested. My flesh will have to yield, my spirit strengthen. I know that I will come out walking even closer with Him. I am excited. really excited. I want to know His heart. That has always been my prayer. I am ready LORD. lead me. i will walk this path you have marked out for me; this new path, for your name sake. your Cross is my strength and grace. i love you Jesus.

sharing with you a little journey of mine last week.

I finally received my ballot result for my flat at jalan membina last sunday nite; after a waiting period of almost 3 months. in this 3 months, i had 3 dreams that i got the flat and i knew my faith was really surging. in fact, from the beginning, i had been declaring that it is done. i have gotten the flat in the spiritual realm cos my God had given it to me. really my heart was really anticipating for the day of the release of the results.

with much anticipation, jeanie and i clicked on the result button. much to our disappointment, we got a queue number of 2277. there are a total of 430+ flats and 3000 over people who had ballotted. we are 2277. that was really unexpected. my heart sank and did not know how to respond. just didn't know how. my emotion is not ready for the unexpected. my faith did not allow me to feel this way. i was very much speechless. i thought i was in a dream and i wanted to wake up.

slowly, reality sank in the next day. i began to feel really confused and disappointed. "what had happened?" "didn't i hear His promise?" then slowly from these questions, i started to have thoughts like "did He withhold his blessing from us?" and "did God play me out?" "why did He let this happened? 1.5 years of flat-searching. i thought i have surrendered each to you. why?" I struggled. my spirit was weary. it wanted to be angry. it wanted to blame. it wanted to curse. it wanted to run and hide. i was in this state for one day. my spirit grieved for it felt so lost. i have never ignored the Lord since i knew Him 8 years back. strangely, it just felt terrible ignoring Him despite my disappointment.

i asked myself many questions and i came to a conclusion, "Despite what happened, i cannot nullify His reality, His love and blessing in my life after walking with Him for these many years" i felt a relief in my heart the moment i uttered these words to jeanie over the phone. i felt His tears. I felt mine too. I felt freedom. I know that I will trust Him no matter what. this is how i will live cos i didn't know how else.

Then i kind of able to identify how Abraham felt when He waited 16 years for Isaac, the promised son. He had waited and waited in faith. He must have had countless disappointment with God. Yet this father of mine, continued to trust His God cos despite his disappointment, he could never negate the reality, love and blessing of God in His life. He trusted cos he didn't know how else to live. he knew he could never walked away from Him.

I'm Back

Hi all, sorry for the long break. yah. Many things have happened over these months and it has really been exciting! Many things to thank God for. For His faithfulness and blessing. my healing, my flat, G12 conference, surprise birthday party, all the cards and gifs and my promotion and many more...

Jesus the Rock Concert ended just last Friday 13th of April with a great success. Praise the Lord! It was really amazing how God has blessed us with such a good show even though the preparation was really short. He has made it all possible and I could really see the joy and satisfaction in everyone's face. There are altogether 9 salvations 27 rededications! Jesus Rocks!

the kluang retreat has been a great spiritual experience for me. I was really caught by the surprise of what God had done for me there. The fellowship with my G12 bros and sis was fun and memorable. I enjoyed the Christmas dinner at Barney's. The european food was simply irresistable! every dish just tasted so delicious! ok.. too much to share... just see pic lah ..

today very funny. my sis came on skype (she is in australia) and my mum was chatting with her. then i kinda of overheard their conversation. my sis has given birth to my second niece, charlotte! i was like not too sure and went to the kitchen to confirm with my dad who was eating his meal. i asked him, "sis delivered already?" he replied, "yah, i thought i told u two nights ago?" I was like "really, cos i thought i dreamt that sis gave birth already." haaha.. guess i was in trance when dad told me two nights back; that's why i kept thinking it was a dream.

hahahaha... then dad said something that made me really laughed till 'peng'. he said when charles (my bro-in-law) called two nights ago, he and my mum were half asleep and watching tv. when he picked up the phone and charles told him my sis had delivered, he actually asked," boy or girl?" HAHAAHA.. i believe what was going through charles's mind was like "dad it has been confirmed a girl since 5 months back."

HAHA... my dad burst out laughing when he recounted the whole incident to me.. just thought the two of us very funny- one in trance and the other sleep talking... keke

so this morning the match we are waiting for finally came. We gathered at the Ulu Pandan Community Club for our basketball game. those who were present are dylan, zijian, zest, matthew, shaobing, thomas and myself. the game was great, can't believe that i can still jump and shoot and grab rebound. haha... found out that shaobing was really good. dylan is a power centre, matthew is a good controller, and zijian is really gentle initially. then slowly he began to show more aggression. haha...

today had kfc family pack for lunch. felt very silly cos i drove to tiong bahru plaza to buy cos the delivery would take 45 min. In the end I also took 45 min to reach home. silly rite? haha...

then went jamming with jj, jx, lester, rachel and danae. as usual, alot of 'zi shuang'. then the cedarians came later... janice, melanie, jiawen, tricia and a friend (didn't ask her name)

we ended at 410pm and quickly drove to TM to buy tickets for Happy Feet. we bought popcorns and nacho with cheese at a very good discounted rate. we almost finished the snacks even before entering the cinema while waiting for lester and jx.

the show was hilarious.. lol... kekke i was laughing throughout the show. danae who was sitting beside me made many noises too that frightened me at times. anyway the ending was pretty disappointing.. too far fetch.

then danae and rachel left and leaving the 4 of us. we drove to ECP food village for dinner.. the food was good! OILY fried oysters, OILY bbq chicken wings, OILY bbq satay and spicy bbq stingray.... lester was like savaging the stingray avenging for steve irwin.. the only thing suck is the sugarcane juice. was really diluted and with alot of lemon. too sour.. lester can testify that i am sure.. worst of all, we bought one extra cup.... arrgggh

then sent everyone home.... went to pick jeanie up from parkway after her meeting. It was good to see her.:)

almost forget i have a blog.. haaha... yup.. it's been a long time since i last update.. mainly because i have been too busy with my life..ya, really busy but won't elaborate... God has been really good to me. Everyday, the Spirit will lead me in a time of praying for wisdom and Everyday will end with so much favour and gladness in my heart. Thank you God for being so real and so close to see me through each day. i was reminded yesterday during service again that my Lord Jesus is my shepherd and i am his sheep. He leads me each day with his staff and rod.

3 days of marking have passed. one last day to go! can't wait for it to be over. my eyes are poping out and the job is really mundane. thank God that I am helping in the HQ and that's an air-con. environment. If not, the heat and the haze would have added to the ordeal.

just came back from Wesley Methodist Church attending a teaching seminar by Ps Benny Ho on the book of Ecclesiastes. Great insight to the book. Praise God for teacher like him who can bring the scripture alive. hehe.. almost dozed off twice though.. really tired after along day! jia you! two more days to weekends!

just came back from my G12 cell mtg with the brothers. it was great! although not everyone was present, we still had a great time of fellowship and sharing... thank God for this cell and these brothers! God's gift.

after 3 weeks together, my niece finally flew back to melbourne. this time she won't be back for at least a year.
today is the first monday after she left. everyone's mood is kinda down... sigh... especially my parents. they are both retired and i could really see that they are emotionally very much affected, yet they are still putting a strong front. guess that's the way to cope. suddenly life's routine returns. waking up and not having her around. i really know how much she means to them.
today, we went on skype and saw my niece. she just stared into the camera and didn't really talk or respond to us. guess she is too young to understand. for a moment i was really affected. can see but cannot touch her. i believe this is in everyone's mind... a really depressing thought. so i just walked to my room and do my marking.

separation is really tough to manage even if it is temporary. treasure what you have while u still have it.

A Vision For the Future

I was reminded of a msg that God spoke to me some time back.

The passage is found in Judges 2:8-13 vs 10 : After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up, who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel.

Interestingly the Lord shows me that after Joshua was dead, the next generation that grew up neither knew who God is... this verse really stunned me. aren't Moses and Joshua the leaders of God who had brought Israel out of captivity in Egypt and into the promise land of Canaan? Aren't they the generations that had seen the miracles of God(parting of red sea, supply of manna, pillar of cloud, pillar of fire, water from rock)? This is the third generation after Moses.

What had happened? As i pondered on this, the Lord spoke to me. He told me the problem lies with the Joshua generation (the second generation). This generation had no vision for their descendants. Their vision were their own- rest. Why rest? becos they were weary and tired after engaging in wars for numerous years. They wanted their allotment of their promise land badly so that they can 'rest in peace' what i term as living in a nice cottage by the calm, peaceful lake. Yes, that was what they yearned for.. so much so that they forgot about their children. They did not have a godly vision for them, hence resulting them growing up not knowing who God is and what He had done for Israel. Consequently, this generation grew up sinning greatly. They worshipped idols and forsook all of God's ways. This led to judgment and wrath that befall upon them.

the Lord has burned a passion in me - to stand for my generation. He told me that if nobody were to stand up for this generation, they will grow up being the same as the generation after Joshua-LOST. I know this is God's vision for my life - a vision to see the next generation knowing God and His ways.

1 John 3:16 'This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers

Have a vision not for yourself cos it is an end to itself. Rather, have a vision for the future where new life begins.

watching hi5 now.. hehe.. eversince my niece is back, our routine is kind of affected a little.. even the tv programme that we watched.. hmmm.. you know there is this 'magic' about hi5.. every kid seems to be captivated by it... my niece is one good example. Everyday, she will sit so still before the tv for the 30 minutes and enjoy every bit of the show... AMAZING!.. cos you dunno how difficult it is to keep her still even for a second.

Went to toy r' us on monday.... wow so many toys.. i was supposed to get my niece a gift but ended up looking at the remote control car. told my dad that that has always been my childhood dream... when he heard it, he just laughed and said , " last time eat also no money... how to realise such dream.." hehe.. which was true then... life was tough when we were younger. he told me to buy now and realise my own dream... hmmm.. i hesitated for a while and didn't in the end.. felt it was never the same now... strange... well.. i bought for my niece a pink tricyle for children's day. i can actually push it and maneuver it around.... there is even music and lights.. aha.. so fun.. even to me. i also bought for her a disney cooking set... with toaster, bread.. etc .. she has been feeding me with bread since then... yummy

yesterday pushed her around the estate... and play 'jia jia jiu' with her...

lately the Lord has been speaking to me in regards to a passage in the bible. for months, the Lord has led me to the life of Moses. He shows me the cries of Moses heart in the midst of a stiff-necked generation of the israelites. (Exodus 33)

Moses pleaded with the Lord, "If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people."
After that he said something that really blew my mind.....

Moses cried out,"Show me your glory!"

I used to asked myself why did Moses want to see God's glory... this used to baffle me. However that day the Lord revealed to me His heart. He showed me that He was deeply touched by Moses's request because no one has ever asked him that. Many chose not to come too near to Him for fear of being struck by His Holiness. But Moses dared.. for one simple reason, not out of pride, but out of a love for His God. At that moment, Moses felt the anguish and pain of the Lord after the Israelites had committed a grave sin against Him- The Golden Calf. He knew that the Lord loves His pple, yet was torn to leave them for the fear of destroying them out of His Holy wrath. God was heart-broken. He was a dejected lover. Moses, in that moment, could feel this brokeness in God's heart. The feeling was so intense in him. He pleaded God not to leave... He was crying, " God, please don't go! teach me your ways so that I will learn and continue to please you, so that I can teach them. God, please don't go!"
God's heart was deeply moved. He teared. (He actually told me that) To Him at that moment, He felt love, love from a man, made from His very own hands.
Moses saw God's glory- the essence of who God is, His very characters and goodness. He saw and He was still alive because God protected Him from Himself- His Holiness. From that day on, he was never the same.

The Lord has moved me to tears several times when He led me to meditate on this passage. the intense feeling between Moses and Him. God seems to be asking me, "will you love me this way?" Every time I hear these words from Him, my heart just cried out to Him, " LORD, I want to love you like Moses, but i know i can't. show me you GLORY so that I will never be the same!" I prayed that God will change my heart. I prayed that He will soften me. I prayed that He will make me passionate for Him all of my life.

"Show me your Way, show me you Heart, show me your Glory."

in another hour, my niece will be back from melbourne! yeah!!! really excited to see her! she is really adorable. this time round, she will be here for 3 weeks!! yup.. which means for the next 3 weeks, she will come to school to fetch me home in my dad's car! always looking forward to see her in the car waving at me.. hahaha... ;D

last last friday was fun! we went to east coast park to blade with the youth .. let me try to name all who were present... (u can skip this if u want): jj, basia, jason, thommy and serene, lester, jx, alex, matthew, shaobing, jerald, parry, zhiyang, jonathon, ruth, rachel, danae, adeline, janice, jia wen, yaoying,dunno le..think that's about it .. it was the first time for me again... been having many first experiences lately..hehe... though i am hitting 30... haha.. cannot believe it rite? i look so young..haha...okok.. enjoy the pic... ;D

SASHIMI!!!!!

yesterday went out to play pool with jj, kevin and shups.... ;) we met at Liang Court after work and shups brought us to this japanese restaurant for dinner cos she has a 50% discount to the total bill for all the promotion items.. we had ramen, salmon sashimi and soft-shell crabs and fried dumplings!!! simply irresistable! The sashimi is soooo fresh and delicious that we had 4 servings... the potion of the flesh that is near the salmon stomach is really fatty and juicy! so fatty that it almost appears white... haha... but really YUMMY!!! ;D.. it was my first time trying this potion of the fish. suddenly remember this infamous chant: sakae sushi sashimi sakae sushi sashimi.... (and it goes on and on till 'someone' finally yield to the power and magic of the chant....u noe who... haha)... BUT... let me tell u... u ain't taste anything yet till u try the fatty potion.. and let the fats melt and wash over ur tongue... (gurantee ur taste buds will be tinkling with joy ).. then u gurgle the fats and slowly swallow it, allowing it to wash down ur gullet....yumyum... drooling already???!! hahahaha..... XD
then i was commenting that shups is very polite and would actually say thanks to the waitress/waiter... then the rest of us tried to follow... kevin tried the 'cute' style of saying thanks and jj said it in a low dull voice ....hehe.....then i was commenting that we cannot make eye contact for too long when saying thank u cos it looks really awkward and like 'lao ti ko'...very funny lah...anyway... the best part is we only get to pay $15 each!!! WOW! really worth it! ;D...
after that we went for icecream. shups chose the green tea flavour, kevin chose the rum & rasin and i chose the durian flavour... then there came jj after making his phone call and started trying the different flavours... then after trying for so long still didn't buy...haha.... but finally bought the coffee flavour??
the pool session was good.. nice place, sofa and of course the company. i only won once and lost all the way... really rusty le.. shups was still good but not as in the past le... all our kung fu drop... then jj introduced this accelerator, clutch and BRAKE game... HAHAHAHAHA.. we chio ka beng! (shan't elaborate it here... seriously if u are interested with the game, approached the man) bet both of u must be laughing now....hahaha.... the whole night basically we were talking about PDA phone. seriously i'm thinking of getting a phone... considering between Sony Ericsson k800i and O2 atom (white colour one) ... hmmm.. any suggestions?
then we go home at 1015pm.... tired but shiok! fellowhip is always shiok!

Today I went to the Singapore Boy's Home early in the morning for PSLE make up oral examination. It was my first time visiting the Home and I was actually quite excited. I had to collect the question booklet at Tiong Bahru Examination Centre (SEAB) before making my way there. When I realised that I would only be testing one candidate, I was like duh... all the way to Jurong West for a candidate... furthermore, including the CL oral examiners, there would be four of us going to Boy's Home just to test a candidate... haha.. quite funny.. anyway we still went ... My spirit wasn't dampened though... I was still excited and was wondering what God has installed for me there today...When we arrived, the first impression I got from the place was it really looked like a prison... high wall, huge gates.. double layers somemore.. the security was really tight. It took us quite a while to clear the security. As I was walking, I saw boys 13 to 16 years old doing push ups and watering plants. They were very disciplined. Finally, we met the contact person...Hmmm... He was really impersonal. He didn't even walk towards us to greet us nor shake our hands. He merely told us the boy was waiting for us over at a corner. We were given a classroom that was really small and stuffy and guess what, the student's table and chair are welded together and they are really heavy... guess they are afraid that the students might throw the tables and chairs at one another... or maybe the teacher.. I was like asking myself as I look at the boys,''Will I be here teaching someday? hmm.. Will God call me?" I just know that someone gotta be willing to stand for this youth... By the time we were back at the examination centre, it was only 10am... As I did not need to stay to help out for the second session at the centre, I left and hehe.. reaching home at 1030am.. Whoa! what a short day! Thank God! I was really sleepy and slept till 215pm. had lunch and went to find jj for a swim at tampines safra. haven't been exercing for quite a while le...it was really a great time swimming and working out our muscles. as jj put it, felt like all the latent energy was dissipated. also we heard 张学友's '吻别' in English!!! It was really distasteful.. or er xin...hahaha... jj commented only places like safra will play such song! haha...where warrant officers would say "hao ding' 'hao ding' .... i laugh till beng... then we went to his house and he let me hear the Mr Brown 'Mia Hum' lolllll i laugh till beng again.. then gotta leave cos he was having dinner with mum and dad.
